50th Anniversary Little Rock Desegregation Silver Dollar

In the landmark 1954 decision of Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas, the Supreme Court declared racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional. The events in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957, was an important step in the country’s quest for racial equality in education.

The obverse of this coin features a design depicting students, accompanied by an armed soldier, walking to school.

The reverse design features an image of the Little Rock Central High School circa 1957. Designated a National Historic Site in 1998, the school still operates today.

Each of these historic coins come housed in its original mint issued box and case with Certificate Of Authenticity.
