The Gorgons were three powerful demons named Medousa (Medusa), Sthenno and Euryale. Of the three sisters only Medousa was mortal. Some of the most interesting Medusa coins are Apollonia Pontica drachms. These coins were minted between 450-350 BC in the Greek colony of Apollonia Pontica, which was situated along the Black Sea in Thrace. Apollonia Pontica drachms feature a striking image of Medusa, with a fierce stare with its tongue sticking out. These coins are also among the most reasonably priced Medusa coins and with our limited supply now is the time to buy!
